Built by architect and contractor Ján Kroc in 1942, the late-modernist villa of Felix Knopfler is located at the junction of streets „Révova“ and „Pod vinicami“ in Bratislava. The object was „cleared“ to the core before addition of new architectural layers. The new layers are characterized by freestanding concrete „walls“ and new entry volume in exterior and wooden volumes in interior. The relationship between object and the streets was invented anew. In the final object the modernism is meeting minimalistic architectural language and modern technology.
