The architectural concept of the cultural centre is inspired by the traditional rural manor house, typically a single-storey building with a prominent pitched roof, often complemented by secondary wings.

The architectural concept of the cultural centre is inspired by the traditional rural manor house, typically a single-storey building with a prominent pitched roof, often complemented by secondary wings.

This architectural reference provides not only an appropriate scale but also a classical architectural language characterized by regular repetition, symmetrical composition, and exposed structural elements such as columns and ceiling beams.

The façades of the proposed building are defined by the expression of the structural frame and columns, creating a rhythmic modular pattern on the entrance façade as well as along the courtyard arcade. This modular rhythm is also reflected in the arrangement of the surrounding trees.

The dominant feature of the building is its pitched roof, reinterpreting the traditional hipped roof clad in clay tiles. Its terracotta louvred surface emphasizes the sophistication of the architectural detailing while partially concealing the glazed gable ends and integrating the roof's functional elements, including rainwater gutters, ventilation outlets, and other technical installations.

The exposed timber roof structure continues into the interior, where it defines the character of the cultural centre, library, and main hall. It establishes the project's principal architectural theme through its contrast with smooth plastered surfaces and timber wall cladding.
